Independent guide — not the official Checkers & Rally’s site

Checked against the live survey August 25, 2026

How we research and what we will not do

This niche has a credibility problem. Pages copy one another, nobody re-checks, and errors outlive the systems they describe. Here is how we try to be different, stated concretely enough that you can hold us to it.

Our five rules

1. We go to the source

Claims about the survey come from the survey. We open it, read the screens, and screenshot them. Claims about the company come from corporate announcements and business press, not from other survey sites. This is why our ownership section names the 2023 recapitalisation and its three lenders, while widely-read pages still credit an owner that exited years ago.

2. We date everything

Every page carries the date we last checked it, at the top and in the footer. A survey guide with no date is a survey guide asking you to trust it blindly, and in a niche where the underlying system has already changed platform once, that is not a reasonable request.

3. We say when we do not know

You will find phrases like “we could not confirm” and “sources contradict each other” throughout this site. They are not hedging — they are the finding. The receipt validity window is stated as three days, seven days and thirty days by different sites with equal confidence; the honest answer is that nobody publishing has verified it, and your receipt is the authority.

4. We do not invent rewards

Several pages in this niche promise a $500 cash sweepstakes or gift-card draws. We searched for the official rules, sponsor, prize value, entry period and no-purchase-necessary route that United States law requires a sweepstakes to publish. None exists. We report that absence rather than repeating the claim, even though the claim would make a more exciting page.

5. We never route you off-domain

Every survey link here opens guestobsessed.com. We have found competing pages whose “take the survey” button sends readers to an unrelated third-party survey domain — in one case, a Culver’s-branded property, repeated five times on a page about Checkers. We consider that indefensible and we do not do it.

How we label confidence

LabelWhat it means
VerifiedStated by the survey itself, or by the company, and we have seen it
ConventionalNot documented officially, but universal across this class of programme and safe to rely on
UncertainSources disagree, or we could not confirm it. Do not plan around it

Corrections

We would rather be corrected than be wrong quietly. If you tell us a screen differs from what we document, we go and look, and we re-date the page whether or not it changes. Substantive corrections are noted on the page rather than silently edited. The contact form is the route.

Advertising and independence

This site is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no input into what we publish, no advance sight of it, and no ability to have a description of an offer made more flattering. We hold no affiliate arrangement with any restaurant company, receive no commission on anything, and are paid nothing by Checkers Drive-In Restaurants — who, as far as we know, have no idea we exist.

Where we describe an offer as less generous than other sites do — the purchase requirement on the free sandwich, for instance — that is the point. An accurate description that leaves you slightly less excited is worth more than an inflated one that wastes your drive.

Trademarks and fair use

“Checkers”, “Rally’s”, “GuestObsessed”, “Big Buford”, “Baconzilla!”, “Mother Cruncher” and related marks belong to their respective owners. We use them descriptively, to identify the survey and the restaurants this site is about, in the way any independent commentary must. We do not claim any association, and we display a non-affiliation notice on every page of this site.

GuestObsessed Guide Editorial Team

We are an independent team that documents restaurant guest-satisfaction surveys. We are not Checkers, Rally’s, or the company that runs GuestObsessed.com. We take the surveys ourselves, screenshot what we see, date every claim, and correct pages when the survey changes. Read our editorial policy or tell us we got something wrong.
